Athlete Profile: Keir Abrams

The football program at Berkeley High School has been extremely successful over the past couple of years. And of its many players, Keir Abrams could possibly be the most dedicated. Playing since his freshman year under Coach Alonzo Carter, Abrams has worked his way up the ladder of the football program. The in-league competetion thus far has been fierce. The team and Abrams started the season on a high note, winning against rival Pittsburg on September 24, but hit a rough patch with last Friday’s loss to Pinole Valley. This week, Abrams and company are looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat. Though the team may be on a somewhat tough road to the playoffs, Abrams has been a valuable asset to the team — with 14 tackles so far. Now in his senior year, Abrams’ years of hard work have paid off. With colleges such as Fresno State and University of California at San Diego taking looks at him, Abrams.
